SE CAPA is a sub-division of CAPA, and its members primarily consist of people who live in SE Connecticut. However, all SE CAPA members are part of CAPA. SE CAPA meetings are usually held in Groton, Waterford or Mystic.
At both the CAPA and the SE CAPA meetings, we generally follow the same format:
- Discuss any news (i.e. upcoming events, past events)
- We frequently have a guest speaker. Sometimes this is a fellow CAPA member, and other times it's someone we've invited in to speak. We've listened to topics on Guerilla Marketing and promoting our books as well as a variety of other topics.
- The most important aspect of our meetings is the networking! Members are happy and willing to discuss their successes and failures, sharing what has either worked or not worked for them. It's a GREAT way to meet fellow readers & writers and pass ideas around!
SE CAPA membership fees are $48 single and $60 family, but we do allow visitors. You can come to 2 meetings at no charge.
Come to a meeting, listen to what we have to offer, and feel free to ask any questions.
